Marabeth relocated to Orlando from the
Northeast in 1992. She has completed all her coursework to obtain her
Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Rollins Collage.
One area of interest for is grief therapy and she
volunteered for several years as a Grief Facilitator at the Hope Center for
Grieving Children and Families in Maitland, FL. As a widowed single parent
she has strong interests in parenting issues. Marabeth has a passion for
Positive Psychology, believing that we all have innate gifts and talents and
we do best when we identify and maximize our strengths.
Marabeth has been an active member of St. Luke's
United Methodist Church since moving to Orlando. In 1996 she became a
Stephen Minister, trained as a lay person to listen to others in a caring,
compassionate manner. This was a significant step on her journey to becoming
a therapist. She has also served as a coordinator of Singles Programs.
Currently she assists people in identifying and implementing the use of
their spirtual gifts.
Marabeth enjoys spending time with her family and
freinds, reading, pet-sitting and traveling. She is excited to join the
staff of ECC as a student intern in September 2006 and looks forward to
working with clients on a variety of issues. |
