My early career was in business as an executive in a
manufacturing company in West Virginia. After training for priesthood, I
continued in industry and was a bi-vocational, part-time priest in the
Episcopal Diocese of West Virginia, where I served several parishes. In
1980, I left industry and entered into full time parish ministry in West
Virginia. In 1987, I returned to graduate school and pursued a Ph.D. in
psychology at the University of Kentucky. While in graduate school, I taught
part-time at the University of Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky University.
After graduating in 1991, I joined The Evelyn Frye Center in Nashville,
Tennessee as a therapist and later became a partner and Clinical Director of
the practice. In 2002, I returned to full-time parish ministry and am
currently Rector of holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Bartow, Florida. I
continue with a part-time practice in psychology through the Episcopal
Counseling Center in Orlando, Florida.
My spare time is devoted to travel, gardening, fishing,
reading and writing interests.
