Julia Esther Colón is a Mental Health Counselor
Registered Intern. Julia
received her Masters of Arts in Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary
and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from New York University.
After several years in finance and management she answered the call
to enter into full-time youth ministry in New York City which afforded her
the opportunity to work with the urban community.
Julia has extensive experience working with at-risk youth and
families both individually and in groups.
She has conducted many leadership workshops and spiritual retreats.
In addition to teaching classes in areas such as discipleship and
baptism, she co-led an adult bible fellowship for young adults.
Julia also served as Middle/High School Director for a Christian
School.
In 2009, Julia joined the Episcopal
Counseling Center. Julia’s
specialties include marriage and couples counseling, parenting issues,
depression, anxiety, and sexual abuse.
Julia views counseling as an integral component of healing, where
those experiencing hurt and crisis can be brought to a place where they are
able to love God, others and themselves.
Julia also holds a special interest in counseling children and
adolescents.
She is fluent in Spanish and is a
member of Journey Church in Oviedo, FL.
Her desire is to serve the body of Christ and to empower God’s
children to live victoriously.
